Hey, I am currently working on my site trying to develop the SEO.

What do you think of the current SEO?
Do you have any tips to increase traffic mainly and page rank?

There is only one thing that affects PageRank, although PageRank is NOT something that you should even care about.
SEO for a hosting site ?? forget about it unless you have a really good USP that you can market.
But make sure you fix the canonical issues sooner rather than later
( both www and the non www resolve ) and you link to the index pagename.

To boost your website pagerank you will have to gain links from high PR websites. Try to gain links from relevant website it will surely boost your website PR. Every day you should acquire new links for your website.

Well if the site is new, you need to get it indexed first by SEs. You can do manual directory submissions and social bookmarking for that. Then start promoting it! 
To get high PR, do quality link building. Avoid joining in link farms, and get as much one way link as you can get, since one way links puts on much weigh than reciprocal. Just remember that you only link / get links from sites related to your niche.

If i see one more post with something like how to get more PR do this..
When will it get through peoples thick skulls that PageRank means NOTHING now a days :p
And i bet you *this bits at chrishirst* that none of these people even know what page rank stands for.
And no to the thick people it doesn't mean page as in web page, its page as in the guy who created it in the first place, Larry Page co-founder of Google Inc, yea the big corporation which all of you pine to suck up to :p

Well, it is your point of view, but for some PR is still important while others do not care at all as long as they get the traffic (and profit) they want. It can't be helped if people try to ask on how to increase their page rank.
Quality link building does help to increase PR as well as the ranking of your keywords. If your keywords are showing at 1st page of SERPs , there's a good chance that your traffic (and profit) will also increase
Of course, proper on-page optimization comes first (with respect to SEO). If the site is new, you need to get it indexed by SEs, then quality link building comes in. |
